Because I like lists, and connections, I've set myself the challenge of connecting as many books to each other as I can. These links could be stylistic, thematic, setting (location or time-period), author (though only occasionally as I think this is a bit of a cop-out!). I may sometimes include links if two authors are connected personally. Sequels in a series or franchise don't count, but I might link novels based on books by another author - such as Rebecca's Tale by Sally Beauman to Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier (neither of which I have yet read by the way.)
This is thoroughly subjective - I'm only going to read books that I want to, but suggestions will always be gratefully received. But I'm excited to see where literature can take me and see where I go from a single starting place.
NB. Despite the name of this blog, I won't be sticking exclusively to novels, although they will make up a large majority.
